Pocket Lap started as a group chat between three friends who kept arguing about which mobile racer felt best to steer with a thumb. At some point the screenshots and long voice messages turned into something worth publishing, so we built this site to keep it all in one place.

We're a small independent team. Nobody pays us to like a game, and we don't run a studio or a publisher in the background. Every title you see here was downloaded, installed, and played on our own phones until we had something real to say about it.,When we pick a game to cover, we look for something that does one thing well: a racer with a clean sense of speed, an arcade with tight controls, a strategy game that respects your time on a small screen. We skip anything that feels like an ad wrapped in a menu.,We play on a mix of mid-range and older phones on purpose. A game that only runs on the newest hardware isn't much use to most readers, so performance and battery drain always make it into our notes.,If you disagree with a rating, good. Tell us why.
