Neon Drift Rally

Neon Drift Rally gets the most important thing right: the sense of speed feels fantastic. The whole game is tuned around chaining drifts, and once the handling clicks you'll be sliding through corners just to watch the score counter climb. It's showy without being hard to read.

Tilt and touch controls are both offered, and both work well, though we settled on touch for precision. Tracks are short enough to replay endlessly, and the car upgrades change how a vehicle feels in a noticeable way rather than just bumping a stat.

There's a bit too much repetition in the late tracks, and the soundtrack gets samey. Still, for a quick dose of speed it's one of the better mobile racers we've played recently.
